ScarSilk Silicone Scar Gel

ScarSilk is a medical-grade silicone gel formulated for the care and management of closed hypertrophic and keloid scars. It can be used on both newer and older raised scars that may develop following surgery, injuries, wounds, or burns.

How to Use ScarSilk

For better results, consistent application is important.

1. Clean and Prepare: Make sure the scar is completely healed, clean, and dry before application. Do not apply to open wounds, third-degree burns, or unhealed surgical areas.
2. Apply a Thin Layer: Spread a small amount of gel evenly over the scar. Avoid vigorous rubbing; a thin layer is sufficient to create the silicone film.
3. Use Twice Daily: Apply once in the morning and once at night, or follow your healthcare professional’s instructions.
4. Allow to Dry: Leave the gel uncovered for approximately 3–5 minutes to dry naturally. If it remains wet for longer, too much product may have been applied.
5. Continue Treatment: A treatment period of approximately 60–90 days is generally recommended. Older, larger, or more prominent scars may require a longer period of consistent use.

Precautions

ScarSilk should only be applied to fully healed skin. Avoid using it on open wounds, unhealed sutures, or severe burns.

If redness, stinging, itching, or persistent skin irritation develops, stop using the product and consult a healthcare professional.
